Master's and Doctoral
Grants
Description:
Eligibility:
Master's student applicants
for a nursing grants may be:
- R.N.'s in a Master's of Nursing program;
- R.N.'s in a combined degree and nurse practitioner program; or
- Non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program which will qualify them as R.N.'s at the Master's level.
Doctoral student applicants
for a nursing grants may be:
- 1st and 2nd year students; or
- 3rd year students who are taking course work, or who are not receiving funding
or nursing grants elsewhere for their work.
- Nursing students in full- or part-time studies are
eligible to our nursing grants, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of two (2) courses each semester.
Preference is given to applicants attending Canadian universities.

grants
The total number of CNF
nursing grants varies each year and is subject to the availability of funds.
Certain nursing grants may have higher funding amounts and/or may provide multi-year support.
Average nursing
grants funding levels are:
- Master's Awards: $5,000
- Doctoral Awards: $5,000 - $6,000
Nursing grants funds are non-transferable and are for the sole use of the recipient.
